Alp ÖĞÜCÜ
He was born in 1983 in Gaziantep.
After completing his high school education at Uskudar American College, he went to United States for university education in 2001. He graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tufts University. He also completed a minor program in Entrepreneurship and Product Design in addition to his declared major.
During his university years, he began to work and gained various experiences in sales. He began his professional career in 2005 at Lila Group as a Project Engineer for the establishment of an energy company to meet sustainable, eco-friendly and reliable energy supply for the existing textile plants. In the following years, he worked as a Project and Business Development Engineer in the feasibility of additional capacity works for paper and converting plants as well as power plant, business planning, investing and commissioning, respectively.
After a Project Engineering career of 5 years, he was appointed as Assistant General Manager responsible for the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) Sales, Marketing and Distribution Company to which he contributed much from feasibility to the establishment of the organization. During his term of office from 2009 to 2014, many developments were achieved in the field of tissue paper such as doubling the market share, making Sofia brand one of the brands/campaigns with the highest consumer awareness, increasing export sales, and finally taking new investment decisions to triple the capacity. As well as this, he also contributed to the improvement of corporate governance as well as the conduct of public relations at Lila Group.
In 2014, in his tenth year at Lila Group, he was appointed to the position of General Manager within the framework of a takeover program that will take 2 years. On one hand, in accordance with the Company vision (to be enlisted in Istanbul Chamber of Industry Top 100 list of Turkish Industrial Companies in 2023) along with the investment and growth targets of the FMCG industry, he continues to work for the targets of institutionalization, branding and becoming a competitive employer brand, but also in line with the values set by the Board of Directors on the other.
Alp Öğücü is married and has a daughter and a son. In his social life, he is interested in voluntary association activities, sports activities, trekking, cinema, and reading management and psychology books. He is board member of TEGV since April 2019.
