TAIDER’s 1st National Family Business Summit will be held in Istanbul Grand Tarabya Hotel on 29-30 November 2013. We expect for the candidate members besides members of Family Business Network (TAIDER) to attend this summit which is the first national organization that gathers the family businesses in Turkey. The summit will gather the owners and young generation representatives of family businesses, scholars, business environment and nongovernmental organizations, and shed light on family business network that is the life blood of the economy of the country, on matters of institutional management, decision making process in family businesses and future planning.

Dr. Haluk Alacaklıoğlu
Alacaklıoğlu who has been supporting family companies over two hundred with good applications in many countries since 2000, is the founder of Family Business Governance, LLP (Family Business Advisory). He completed his undergraduate education in Bosphorus University, and did his master’s degree magna cum laude in (MBA) Harvard Business School. He did his doctorate and received title of Ph.D. in American University in London.
Starting his career in his multinational companies, Haluk Alacaklıoğlu, worked as an executive in USA, Europe and Middle East. He started Turkey and Middle East branches as the managing partner of an internationally leading company in Sources of Tepe management, and supported hundreds of companies by finding of executives, evaluation and management.
Alacaklıoğlu had the chance to know better public stock companies and family companies as a result of these experiences. Making use of these experiences, he specialized in institutionalization in family companies (by being in the driver’s seat), passing from generation to generation with success, institutional management and effective structuring of executive boards and thus enabling productive endeavors by using these experiences.
He led the designing of Turkey’s best applications code as chairperson of Institutional Management Committee in TUSIAD. The code was published in December 2012 by TUSIAD. In the same year, he led the drive for establishing Turkey’s first and only independent Institutional Management Association, and was elected chairperson.
Alacaklıoğlu’s many scientific articles related to institutionalization, family constitutions, takeover (succession) planning, intergeneration transition, activating executive boards and increasing performances, were published in local and foreign press. He gave seminars in USA (FFI-San Francisco and Miami), Canada, Switzerland, Spain, India, Syria, Jordan, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and South Africa.
Dr. Alacaklıoğlu still serves in institutionalization in family companies in western Europe and Middle East, the ones in Turkey in particular. He worked with family companies in many different countries as USA, Japan, Canada, Holland, Germany, France, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and South Africa. His first book Institutional Family Companies and Institutional Management was published in 2009.

He was born in Eskişehir in 1964.
He completed his primary education in Eskişehir and Istanbul. Following his high school education in Lycee of Galatasaray, he went to England for his university education and graduated from Faculty of Business Administration in AUL University.
He started in group center of his family company Eti Gıda in 1989. He became Vice President of the Corporate Group; and after military service, he was appointed as the Vice President responsible for Group Purchases. With the restructuring of the group in 1999, he performed the Chairmanship of the Group’s Tam Gıda A.Ş.’s executive board and Vice Presidency of the Management Council of Eti Corporate Group. He also claimed the responsibility of the new investments and investment purchases of the group. In 2004, he founded Sarp Aviation A.Ş. which is also a family company, and assumed the chairmanship of the executive board.
To be able to better focus in family’s works to enter new fields, he withdrew from operations along with other family members in 2006, and by the end of
2006, he was appointed as chairman of all companies of the group, except for Eti Makine A.Ş. He worked in person in the projects for restructuring of Eti Group.
Firuzan Kanatlı founded Eskişehir Riding Center in 1994, and was an active sportsman until 2002. Kanatlı, having been a former member of Eskişehir Chamber of Industry Council, conducts the substitute membership of Galatasaray Sports Club Congress, Galatasaray Fans of Eskişehir, TÜSİAD and TÜSİAD Executive Board.

He had professional contributions for the countrywide growth and expanding of Arzum when he was appointed as Vice President of the Executive Board In 1996.
He was appointed as the Chairman of the Board in Arzum Electrical Appliances in 2008. Later that year, he lead the process of partnering with Ashmore Portfolio Management A.Ş. as one of world’s leading English investor companies England, by 49 % share transfer. Thus he professionally contributed to the headwaying of Arzum for becoming a leading world-known company in the industry.

Born in Cizre County in 1974, Tarkan KADOOĞLU accomplished his university education in field of Business Administration in Newport International University in line with his business life after he completed his elementary and high school education. He was 22 when he became the head of Kadooğlu Corporate Group in 1996.
Kadooğlu Corporate Group, of which the foundation was laid in Cizre with coal mining in 1972, stepped into fuel oil marketplace in 90s by fuel oil stations. It transformed its knowledge and savings into a national fuel oil distribution business of 350 dealers with Kadoil Trademark in Tarkan Kadooğlu’s lead. Hence it started to take part in international oil trade with its modern storage facilities in Mersin. Also, food trade started in 90s as well resulted with the birth of Bizce Oil which is Turkey’s greatest herbal oil producers and exporters. The group is currently active in fields of construction, development and management of commercial estate, production and trade of electricity as well. Tarkan Kadooğlu claims significant parts in nongovernmental organization with his knowledge and skills he acquired in management area. Türkiye Aile İşletmeleri Derneği olarak 29-30 Kasım’da gerçekleşecek TAİDER 1.Ulusal Aile İşletmeleri Zirvesi için aile şirketlerinin neredeyse hepsini ilgilendiren çok ama çok önemli konuların konuşulacağı ve tartışılacağı, çok kompakt, 1 günlük bir program hazırladık. Katılımclıların kendi aile şirketlerinin ve de ailelerinin daha başarılı ve sürdürülebilir olmalarını sağlayacak birçok faydalı bilgi ile ayrılacaklarına eminim. Çok değerli konuklarımızdan bu konuları dinlemek, sorularını yönlendirmek ve de diğer aile şirketlerinden gelmiş kişiler ile bu konularda bilgi paylaşımında bulunmak, aile şirketlerinin gelecek ile ilgili planlarını daha net yapmalarını sağlayacaktır diye düşünüyorum. Türkiye genelinde Aile işletmelerinin oluşturduğu ve uluslararası bir kuruluş FBN nin de üyesi olan TAİDER çalışmalarına yoğun bir şekilde devam etmekte. Bir yılı aşkın süredir farkındalığı arttırmak aile işletmelerinin sürdürülebilirliğinin önemi vurgulamak ve kurumsallaşma çalışmalarına ışık tutmak amaçlı bir seri tanıtım ve bilgilendirme toplantıları yapılmıştır.
Taider çalışmalarında aile şirketlerinin sürdürülebilir olmasını önemsemektedir. Bu bağlamda Gelecek Nesillerin farkındalığını arttırmak, şirketlerde verimli çalışmalarını sağlayacak eğitimlere de önem vermektedir.
İlk kurulduğu günden beri hedeflediği Taider Zirvesini Kasım ayında gerçekleştirecektir. Bu Zirve Türkiye genelinde birçok aile şirketi kurucuları konuşmacı olarak katılacaktır. “Ailede birlik, İşletmede Sürdürülebilirlik” teması ile gerçekleştirmeyi hedeflediğimiz Zirvemiz İstanbul Büyük Tarabya Oteli’nde gerçekleşecek. 29 Kasım’ın tüm üyelerimize, 30 Kasım’ın sadece gelecek nesil üyeleri için düzenlenen program yer alacaktır.

Ülkemiz ekonomisinin aslında aile işletmelerinden oluştuğu, istihdamın da yine bu işletmelerce gerçekleştirildiği bilinen bir gerçek. Buna karşılık yayın organlarının güncel olarak yansıtmadığı ve belki kamuoyunca pek de bilinmeyen ise aile işletmelerinin barındırdığı potansiyel ve yürütülecek akıllı politikalar ile ülkemiz ekonomisini hızla geliştirme gücüne sahip esas kitle olduğudur.
TAİDER, ülkemizde önemli bir eksikliği dolduruyor ve ülke gündemine aile işletmelerini taşıyor. Aile işletmelerinin bu ülkenin gerçek yaratıcı gücünü oluşturduklarının farkına varmalarına ve en önemlisi aralarında dayanışma yaratmalarına olanak sağlıyor. Ulusal Aile İşletmeleri Zirvesi ile TAİDER’in çok daha etkin bir varlık göstereceğine inanıyoruz.
Türkiye için bir ilki gerçekleştirerek Aile İşletmeleri Derneği’ni kuranlar, şimdi de yine bir ilki gerçekleştirerek Ulusal Aile İşletmeleri Zirvesi’ni hazırlıyorlar.
Ülkenin dört bir tarafından gelecek katılımcılar bu organizasyon sayesinde kendileri gibi Aile İşletmesi üyesi olan bireylerle tanışma fırsatı bulacaklar. Bu anlamda birbirlerine yaşadıkları tecrübeleri aktarma şansını yakalarlarken, yanlış ve doğru örneklerden ders alarak kendi şirketlerinde iyi yönetim uygulamalarını hayata geçirebilecekler.
Tabii ki zirveye konuşmacı olarak katılacak değerli isimlerin yapacakları sunumlar çok önemli bilgilere erişmeye fırsat tanıyacak. Tüm bu sebepler bir araya gelince TAİDER 1.Ulusal Aile İşletmeleri Zirvesi kaçırılmaması gereken bir organizasyon olarak karşımıza geliyor. Bu nedenle büyük bir heyecanla 29-30 Kasım tarihlerini bekliyor olacağım.
