multinational company – Unilever - for 10 years. In his last position, he used to work in
Global Innovation Team being responsible of 25 countries. He attended research and
training programs in UK, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil and USA.

respected universities of Turkey and USA – Harvard, Stanford, Duke, Berkeley, Middle
East Technical University, Bogazici, Koc, Sabanci, Bilkent.

Yaman gives consultancy on cultural transformation and leadership CEOs of multinational

His first book, “Truthful Leader” has been translated into English in 2002. His second
book “Leader & the Dream Partners” has been published in 2006.

As founder and chairman of board, Yaman devotes most of his time and energy to Young
Guru Academy, a non-profit organization with a vision to cultivate socially conscious
future leaders. YGA receives 50.000 applications every year. 13th of YGA Leadership
Camps took place in New York, Washington and Research Triangle.

Yaman has been awarded the social responsible leader of the year by Turkish American
Association, Middle East Technical University, Koc & Sabancı University students.

R. Serkan Aktaş

R. Serkan Aktaş was born in Bursa in 1980, completed his primary and elementary school education in Bursa and then, he completed his educational life by earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

He worked in many different departments in Aktaş Holding such as Cost Management, Light Commercial Vehicles and R&D etc.

He also founded his own company called FLYWORKS during the same period.

Serkan Aktaş acts as the Member of the Board of Aktaş Holding.

Mr. Aktaş is interested in music as a hobby and speaks English and German.

He is married and has two children.

Duygu Tecim

Duygu Tecim

“She was born in 1988, Izmir. Graduated from ‘Izmir Ozel Turk Koleji’ and completed her bachelor’s degree at Ege University, Communication Faculty. She spent her summer holidays in the family business company Volkan Itfaiye during high school and university time. Duygu Tecim studied Marketing and International Trading at University of California. She worked as a marketing assistant for MSC Software which is a simulation software company in USA. She had the opportunity to experience the corporate company structure.

Volkan Itfaiye is one the biggest fire truck manufacturer in the world, Duygu Tecim has started to work as International Marketing Representative. Since 2015, she is corporate communication manager. Also she is second generation board member in Volkan Itfaiye.”

M. Fuat Ekmekçioğlu

After having fulfilled responsibilities of several positions, he became Vice President of Executive Board and General Manager in Kilsan A.S. in March of 2002.

He is currently members in several civil society organizations and fulfilling responsibilities.

Kadir Taha Büyükhelvacıgil

KADİR TAHA BÜYÜKHELVACIGİL

Born in 1984 in Konya, Kadir Taha Büyükhelvacıgil is a 4th generation member of the Helvacızade Group of Companies that has been in operation for 130 years. After graduating from the Department of Computer Technologies and Information Systems of Bilkent University in 2006, Taha Büyükhelvacıgil then went on to finish his degree in the Department of Commerce and Management in 2008. Büyükhelvacıgil continued his education abroad and was awarded a master’s degree with a double major from the departments of International Management and Sociology of the Manhattan Ville College in New York in 2008-2010. Subjects such as ‘the Global Business Plan, IMF and the Economic Crisis, Developed Countries and Countries Open for Development, Problems and Practices in International Commerce, Development of Companies and Financial Analysis, Media and its Social Effects’ were among projects that he worked on in New York. K. Taha Büyükhelvacıgil has also attended special training programs on “microeconomics, macroeconomics, international management, information technologies, financial accounting, organizational management, production management, auditing, marketing, statistics, administrative accounting, financial statement analyses, human resources and management, banking and insurance, international commerce and management” with the aim of examining commerce from all perspectives.

Having been active in the world of business from a young age, K. Taha Büyükhelvacıgil has joined the Helvacızade Group of Companies only after gaining experience outside of the group as stated in the Charter of the Helvacızade Group that is an institutionalized family company. After being employed in the Human Resources Department of Botaş, the International Investments Support Department of the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, the Sales & Marketing Department of Helvacızade Group of Companies, the Marketing Department of the New York Vintage Food Company, and the Auditing Department of Destek Yeminli Mali Müşavirlik Şirketi in 2006, K. Taha Büyükhelvacıgil started to work in Helvacızade Group of Companies in 2010.

Following his orientation training that involved taking office in all units of Helvacızade Group of Companies, K. Taha Büyükhelvacıgil worked as a sales representative in the food department and made efforts to enhance the relationships with vendors in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolian regions. Taking part in the launching of Zade Vital that is the group’s brand in the field f healthcare, K. Taha Büyükhelvacıgil played an active role in coordinating the information processing, marketing communication, finance, R&D and production processes. Following the launching of the Zade Vital brand in 2012, K. Taha Büyükhelvacıgil was appointed as the Sales Representative of Zade Vital in the Konya Region and promoted to Key Account Manager in 2012 thanks to his successful endeavors. Büyükhelvacıgil travelled all over Turkey and visited over 5.000 pharmacies in 1 year. After ensuring high penetration by increasing the market accomplishment of Zade Vital throughout Turkey while acting as the Sales Manager of Turkey, Büyükhelvacıgil was appointed as the Turkey and International Sales, Marketing & Business Development Manager of Zade Vital in 2014.

K. Taha Büyükhelvacıgil is fluent in English and Arabic.

Candan Çilingiroğlu

Candan Cilingiroglu was born in Izmir, Turkey.

After finishing American High School (ACI) in Izmir, she graduated from Aegean University Industrial Engineering department.

Since 1985, she has been working in their family corporation Cilingiroglu,  which is now 90 years old and fourth generation is in work, too. Company operates in many areas of the footwear sector in İzmir and in İstanbul.

Since 1997 she has been working as  the General Coordinator of Shoe City footwear retail stores.

 She was president of ACI Alumni Association for four years.

Candan Cilingiroglu was one of the seven business women who founded the first business women association in Izmir (IZIKAD). She served as president of board for five years.

She is the board member of BASIFED, board member of TURKONFED, member of board of trustees of SEV Foundation, member of AYSAF.

She was chosen as The Most Successful Business Women in 2014 by Kamu-der.

She is married and has two daughters who also work in the family business.

Şelale Zaim

Selale Zaim

Selale Zaim is a member of the Board of Directors of Inci Holding and Maxion Jantas. Ms. Zaim is also the Founding Chairman of Inci Family Office, providing investment and asset support services to families.

Ms. Zaim previously has worked with Garanti Securities Private Equity in establishment of two separate funds with sizes US$100 million and US$400 million, the latter being a joint investment initiative with Cerberus Capital Partners. Her former financial experience includes world’s largest wheel producer Hayes Lemmerz, and private equity fund Towerview Capital.

Ms. Zaim’s prior experience also includes the Healthcare sector, working for University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers, Acibadem Healthcare Group and Mentor Corporation.

Ms. Zaim has a BSE in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and an MBA from UCLA Anderson. She has attended Private Wealth Management program at Wharton Executive Education in 2014, passed Level 1 CFA Exam in December 2010, has Turkish Capital Markets Advanced Level certificate and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Elif Çoban

ELİF ÇOBAN

Elif Çoban obtained her bachelor’s degree in Economics field at Middle East Technical University. After graduating from METU, she has been offered an assistant position in Bilkent University. While staying in her assistant position, she decided to study doctorate at the same university. Her start in Şölen Chocolate was in Export Department as an Export Manager in 1990. Elif Çoban is the CEO of Şölen Company since 2010. 

Dr. Şaban Kızıldağ

Anadolu University Communication Sciences graduate, Master in Sociology, with a doctorate in Business and Public Administration.

27 years of the Faculty Kızıldağ, still gives the Bahcesehir University in Istanbul Maltepe and Master's and Doctoral programs in Integrated Marketing Communications and Consumer Sociology course.

Areas of Expertise; Management Consulting, Institutionalization and Family Constitution Preparation of the family company is Communications Consultancy.

Published 9 books with Kızıldağ gave 1 million people outside the university conferences and seminars so far.

Sami Erol

Sami Erol – Aktaş Holding Member of Board of Directors and CEO

Completed his secondary education in İzmir, Sami Erol studied engineering at Anadolu University and acquired Master’s Degree of Engineering in the field of process and reactor design. He started his professional career as a production designer in Automobile Sector.

He served as Technical Material Production, Quality, Purchasing and Factory Manager at Orhan Holding and then assumed the role of General Manager. He realized the his own projects in the field of production and business in automobile sector. He provided professional support of Strategic Management to many organizations in the sector. In 2013, he assumed the role of Board Member and CEO at Aktaş Holding.

During his professional career, he has been actively involved in civil society organizations such as BUSİAD, KALDER, TMMOB, ÜSİGEM and Association of Corporate Management and periodically served at many universities as guest lecturer or instructor. He submitted many notifications and communiqués primarily at universities and other educational institutions and published many articles in national and international scientific and professional publications. He served as Board Member at Turkish Association of Quality for 4 terms and as Board Chairman at Bursa Branch of Kalder, of which he founded, during 7 years.

Sami EROL is also a columnist for many newspapers and magazines and speaks English and French. 

Ali Çebi

Ali Çebi started his career at Credit Suisse’s Mergers & Acquisitions division in New York after finishing his B.A. degree in economics at Northwestern University in Chicago. In order to focus more on emerging markets transactions, he transferred to the London M&A department with the same bank after five years of tenure in New York. Having been admitted to INSEAD while in London, he left Credit Suisse to pursue his MBA degree. Ali has successfully announced numerous M&A deals with a transaction size exceeding $50 billion and got exposed to various different sectors and M&A products during his tenure at Credit Suisse. Upon graduation from INSEAD, Ali returned to Turkey to take an active role at Menka A.S., his family holding company. At Menka, Ali founded a department to focus solely on the family’s asset and investment management needs. The department is responsible for managing the family’s real estate portfolio, private equity and VC investments into specific sectors as well as accounting, tax and communication services within the family members and holding companies. Ali is also an angel investor and the cofounder of a crowdfunding platform called Fongogo.

Ender Alkoçlar

Doğan Taşkent

After graduating from Eidgenösische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETH) with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1993, Mr. Taskent joined Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Polytechnic Institute of New York University for the PhD program and received graduate degrees in Electrophysics and Technology MBA.

During 1998-2005, he worked as a R&D engineer, expert consultant and instructor at Lucent Technologies Bell Laboratories in New Jersey. During that timeframe he lead major fiberoptic transmission system deployments for Verizon, BT, Telia, Deutsche Telekom, Global Crossing, Qwest, and UPC around the globe. Furthermore, he has consulted in the areas of Knowledge Management, Competency Management and Telecommunications Technologies as part of Lucent Worldwide Services (LWS) in New York

Since 2006, as Partner of Arkan & Ergin Corporate Finance, he has been working in telecommunications, renewable energy, and in startup ecosystem as company restructuring advisor in Turkey. He has presented over 100 seminars (major universities and multinational corporations) the Turkish Startup Ecosystem and the Growth of Entrepreneurship in Turkey. He has served as jury on 25+ business plan competitions and helped professionally to establish over 100 startups. Focusing especially on Biotech companies and supporting clustering in that field in Izmir and Istanbul..  He is the founding President of MIT Enterprise Forum in Turkey and an active member at the Advisory Board of the Endeavor Turkey. . He is founding Board member of the Ege University Technopark and founding Board Member of the Dokuz Eylül University Business Angel Network. Currently working for European Investment Fund (EIF) for improvement of the Turkish Technology Transfer Offices (TTO) infrastructure.

Since 2008, Doğan Taşkent has been member of the Board at the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Turkey, where we ran the presidency between 2012-2016.  He was also the Vice-President at the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) responsible for Switzerland between 2013-2015.

Neslişah Alkoçlar Düzyatan

She was born in 1988. She graduate International Business Management Program from Westminster University

She met with organic products when she study in England. She completed internships at media advertising sales and marketing company Birmaş during the summer period while study university.

She worked Kanal D (national television channel) in sales and marketing department for two years after the university. And she roll up sleeves for establish her own trademark.

She established Raya Organik. Raya means ‘life line’ in Arabic and she wants more accessible to organic products and she reach to many people.

Mustafa BAYINDIR

Mustafa Bayındır was born in Konya in 1972. He completed his bachelors degree in Business Administration Department taught in English at Çukurova University in 1995. Due to his interest in finance, he chose his first profession in banking and took charge in various levels of marketing management in 6 different banks for 10 years.
Wanting to utilize his vast experience in sales and economics he gained in the financial world, he continued his career as a regional sales manager in an American multinational company. During his 4 years in this position, he had the chance to travel to many cities within Türkiye and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, reorganize the distribution organization, and select, train and control sales teams in this wide area.
Mustafa became a professional trainer over the years within the companies he worked in as well as in the NGOs he served voluntarily, training thousands of people and he built a career in training by attending various trainings, seminars and certification programs himself and increasing his expertise in the subject since 1998.
At the end of 4 years of intense travelling due to his job, in 2004 he went on with his new career on training and consulting services, founding 2 different brands of his own, consolidating his vast experience in sales, finance and management.
Mustafa completed his coaching certification with ERICKSON COLLEGE INTERNATIONAL which is one of the three accredited coaching ecoles under ICF (International Coaching Federation) and become one of 124 Erickson Professional coaches.
He contiues his coaching profession since 2010 and provides his services both to organizations and to individuals. He also attented the studies on “Magic Metaphors” which concentrates on subconcious with a metaphoric approach and increases the individual’s awareness and performance.

He continues serving individuals and institutions under NORONUS Neuron Training Center, with a team of 12 professional trainers of different backgrounds and offers personal development programs. Simultaneously, he provides consulting services to companies of various sizes on issues of management, human resources, sales and marketing. Along with many different projects, Mustafa Bayındır is one of the 25 certified mentors in the program started by TUBITAK in 2014 in cooperation with Ege University Technology Transfer Office EBILTEM and ABIGEM Izmir, aiming to render an innovation culture in the select group of SME’s in Ege region. Prof. Dr. Acar Baltaş

Acar Baltaş has been one of the pioneers in widening public awareness in Turkey with regard to psychology as a solution to personal problems as well as corporate issues. He completed his doctorate on higher brain functions at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Neurology Department, earned the title of Medical Sciences Doctor, and became Associate Professor of Applied Psychology in 1986 and Professor in 1996. Since 1983 he has been delivering seminars and facilitating workshops to improve the life quality of healthy individuals and raising productivity in organizations. He is the co-founder of Baltaş Group and manages the corporate with Prof. Dr. Zuhal Baltaş. Baltaş Group aims observable attitude change and measurable results for employee- and corporate-level effectiveness.

Murat ÖZCAN

Born in 1982, Murat Özcan graduated from Ted Ankara College and completed his B.S. in Computer Engineering at Yeditepe University. He granted his M.S. degree from University of Navarra, Spain in Economics and Finance. His career commenced at Ravago Holding in London. He joined his family business, Canpa Holding in 2007 as Business Development Manager. In 2009 he acted as Managing Director of groups sister company, Stoper Production Facilities. Finally he leaded the Regnum Sky Tower project in the construction division. He is currently Ankara Representative of TAİDER and Secretary General of TÜGİAD.

Emre Özbek

Emre Ozbek is the founder of Kovvan – Collaborative Innovation Platform. Kovvan is a collaboration platform bringing mid and large size enterprizes, including family businesses, together with innovation strategy, system, process and human resources for their innovation initiatives developing new products, services and business models.

For the last three years, Emre has been active in the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, bringing relevant parties together as a business model. Among these roles are managing partner at one of the accredited angel investor networks, Istanbul Startup Angels; founding mentor member of Mentors Network Turkey, mentorship coordinator at Technical University of Istanbul’s incubation programme, chief operations officer at one of the leading micro-VC funds and accelerator center, StartersHub. Emre also provides consultancy services and trainings in a professional capacity.

Emre Ozbek started his 20-year-long corporate career at PricewaterhouseCoopers Turkey, followed by assignments at PwC Switzerland and the US. His expertise is on institutionalization domains such as enterprise risk management, internal controls, internal audit and information systems audit and consultancy. Later he led internal audit as well as strategy and business development functions at Vodafone Turkey.

Emre Ozbek currently works on his master’s thesis on “Innovation of SMEs” within Univeristy of Marmara. He has a degree on management engineering from the Technical University of Istanbul.

Deniz Mısır

Burak Darcan

Burak DARCAN, was born in Istanbul in 1981.   Graduated from FMV Ayazaga Isık High School (Istanbul), received bachelor degree from Istanbul Technical University Mining Faculty (Istanbul) and Master of Science degree from University of Westminster (London, UK).  His working experience has started as part time at the age of 6 with games at his family business which he has started working full time in 2003. DARCAN has worked in different positions such as production, logistics, import-export, sales and as a coordinator in his family business that is serving to chemical industry. At the end of year 2011, he has decided to find his own business venture. Now he is working as a general manager in his own company Tila Kompozit and as a shareholder and president of the board at Kompozit Akademi. Apart from that he is a board member at Turkish Composite Manufacturers Association, board of member at TAIDER and Next Generation committee co-president and also a member of Corporate Governance Association Turkey. DARCAN is married with one son. 

Ayçe Bükülmeyen

AYÇE BUKULMEYEN

 Ayce Bükülmeyen graduated from Ege University, Faculty Of Science. While she was a student in university she started her career presenting programs on TURKISH RADIO TELEVISION (TRT). She worked as an emcee, host and co-producer in TRT in many different programs like talk-show, daily live show, environmental or women issues for 15 years.

Worked for both visual and printed media for many years, currently she has an interview column on Sundays and an article column on Thursdays in HÜRRİYET Newspaper which is the biggest newspaper in Turkey, in Ege Supplement.

Her second book ‘The Pioneer Women Of The Aegean’ was published last year, after her first documentary film with the same title. She is still doing master degree in Conflict Resolution Program at Dokuz Eylül University.
