We met on the Bosphorus in Istanbul on Friday, September 18. Organized by our Istanbul Provincial Representation, the event brought together our members and prospective members for an enjoyable evening accompanied by the Bosphorus’s breathtaking sunset views. With the engaging storytelling of Tour Guide and Author Mahmut Sami Şimşek, we discovered the lesser-known stories of the Bosphorus and embarked on a journey from the origins of the yalı culture and the prominent families of the Ottoman Empire to entrepreneurial families of the Republic and today’s well-established family businesses.
